Marissa Parker

Marissa provides support for people experiencing life stress, anxiety, relationship issues, and pregnancy and postpartum concerns. She also works with neurodivergent children and parents. Marissa sees individuals, couples, and children.

Meet Marissa

Marissa is a Registered Psychotherapist who loves to help couples build communication, work through their relationship concerns, and rediscover themselves. She enjoys helping new moms adjust to having a new addition to the family, and working with children with an Autism diagnosis.

Marissa says:

You were going along with your daily routines, but now things are starting to feel more difficult. You’re starting to feel overwhelmed and life is just not going as you had expected. You might start to put on a brave face, but inside you are just not feeling like the version of yourself you once were. You notice your patience is thinner with the people that you usually enjoy having around you, you’ve even snapped and said something you didn’t mean before you could stop yourself.

You try to fix it but then it happens again. You talk down to yourself and just cannot boost yourself out of this funk. But now you’re taking a brave step to overcome this and have found yourself here.

Daily life stresses can build and can show up in each person differently. We can be impacted by the “how we should be feeling” thoughts during major life events such as having a baby, getting married, and raising children. It can affect the relationship we have with ourselves and those around us.

Together we can work at challenging that negative self-talk and those “but I should feel this way” thoughts that keep creeping into the forefront of your mind.

We can work towards building your toolkit with tools that can improve your relationship with yourself and others.
