Rebecca is a Child and Youth Care Practitioner and Early Childhood Educator (CYCP, ECE). Rebecca is enrolled in her final semester of social work and will graduate in April 2024 with a Bachelor of Social Work Degree.

Meet Rebecca

Rebecca is passionate about supporting children and youth with autism and has 6+ years of experience working with this population. Rebecca plans to continue supporting children and youth with autism upon graduating from university and aspires to address any gaps in services and barriers that impact autistic youth transitioning into adulthood. Rebecca is equipped with knowledge and experience supporting autistic children and youth in a variety of settings including but not limited to schools, daycares, residential settings, home settings, and also within the larger community. Rebecca believes in the strengths based approach and incorporates this into community practice. As well, Rebecca values setting goals that align with the child’s unique interests and individual needs.

“Society presents numerous barriers that can pose challenges to effective integration. It is essential for practitioners to assist autistic children and youth overcoming these obstacles.
